BBQ Function, Birthday celebration in Botley

The weather this year has been so unpredictable, but it it hasn't stopped me taking on plenty of summer themed menus. I love to cook BBQ food, making delicious marinades to flavour and tenderise the meat and fish, adding plenty more flavour when cooking over my charcoal BBQ. Served with some tantalising dips, salsas and sauces, I offer some great menus suited for many occasions. My latest function was for such great  friendly hosts, along  with all their guests that came to their birthday celebration.

I first met with Ian and Caroline a few weeks before the event to discuss menus, timings and other logistics and I was blown away by their beautiful house. With a grand kitchen, delightful garden and picturesque views beyond, I knew it would be a striking setting for their BBQ party. They were so relaxed and approachable, I immediately began looking forwards to coming up with some great menu ideas that I was given free reign to do so.

On the day, my fantastic team and I arrived to set up early afternoon, Ian and Caroline being so cordial, making the whole event run brilliantly. We served some delectable canapes, delicious BBQ food, and finished with a choice of desserts and then the Birthday cake. Everyone gave such great positive feedback about the food and service that we all came away buzzing from our hard days work. Despite the weather forecast to rain it stayed fantastic weather throughout which must have been a testament to such benevolent clients.

"Gary and his team provided a great experience for us. I asked him to provide a birthday experience for my wife in preparing, cooking and serving for a party of 40 people. We asked for a surprise menu and it was a fabulous event. Gary is very personable and worked very hard through the whole day, I couldn't ask for more. My wife Caroline is a great cook and she enjoys the kitchen. The challenge of the day was to keep her away and allow Gary and his team to deliver a truly great experience that I would recommend to all"
